The Whitburn Village website has advert placements on each page of the website. The adverts I place into those slots are hand selected by me, so I have complete control over which advertisements are displayed and I only will only ever promote carefully selected safe, saecure and trusted retailers, primarily to display any special offers they are running, any sales, for example Black Firday and spring sales and when they have new lines of products available, which is most often fashion related.

The income that is made from the adverts that appear on the Whitburn Village website are used to fund the development and maintenance of the website and also allows me to pay the costs of the web hosting required to host the website. Income made from the website also provides me with a form of income, should there be enough funds left over for that.

I do not use any kind of pop-up or pop-under types of advertising and I do not allow any form of 3rd party advertising solutions. Everything that appears on the website is hand checked by me to ensure it is safe and secure and from a company I feel is worth promoting.

The adverts are descreetly placed in order to not be annoying. As I know only too well how annoying so many websites can be when they are overloaded with several adverts and if anything, the adverts I display are quite informational and can save you money when you spot one of the great offers our retailers are running.

I am aware that lots of websites are choosing to stop people visiting unless they unblock adverts and other sites force a continuous pop-up telling you to disable your adblocker for that website. This is something I will never do here on the Whitburn Village website, as the choice has to be yours and I would not ever consider forcing this option onto people.
